Brief Note:
The name DeLaCeiba is a tribute to the La Ceiba tree in Ponce, Puerto Rico, where I grew up. For centuries, this tree was a symbol of strength, wisdom, and protection with connections to Taíno and Afro-Caribbean culture. The Ceiba was enormous, with a trunk measuring 118 feet in circumference.
Unfortunately, the Ceiba died in 2021 after living more than 500 years on the banks of the Portugués River.
